Raisin and Quark Rolls
The perfect raisin and quark rolls recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 g Spelled flour or wheat flour
- 1 packet Dry yeast
- 250 g Lowfat quark
- 150 g Soft butter
- 2 Pc. Eggs size L
- 1 Pc. Lemon zest
- 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
- 0,5 tsp Iodized salt
- 3 tbsp Honey
- 5 tbsp Water
- 100 g Raisins
- 1 Pc. Egg yolk
- 1 tbsp Milk
- Mix the flour and yeast well.
- Add the quark, softened butter, eggs, lemon zest, cinnamon, salt, honey and water and mix well until you have a smooth dough. Then knead in the raisins, cover the dough and let rise to double the height.
- Knead the dough well on the floured table top, divide into 20 pieces and shape into round rolls, flatten slightly and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Cover and let rise again up to twice the height.
- Beat the egg yolks with lukewarm milk and brush the rolls. Put the baking sheet into the oven preheated to 180-200 ° and bake for about 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
