Quark Balls (gluten-free)

The perfect quark balls (gluten-free) recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 Egg
  • 125 g Quark
  • 110 g Flour
  • 3 tbsp Milk
  • 1 pinch Psyllium husks, ground
  • 45 g Sugar
  • Ground vanilla
  • 0,5 packet Baking powder
  • Sugar or powdered sugar to decorate

Preface

  1. I took the REWE free as the flour, so it worked wonderfully.

Preparation of the dough

  1. First mix the quark with the egg and milk thoroughly, then gradually add all the other ingredients and mix well.

The frying

  1. 1. Variation: Cut the dough with 2 spoons and let it slide into the hot oil. This can be a deep fryer or oil that has been heated in a hot pot. Bake until golden brown. 2nd variant: Here, too, cut off the dough with 2 spoons and let it spin for 4 minutes in the Actifry on the oiled grill plate or in the snack basket with baking paper and then turn once and again for 4 minutes. 3rd variant: Heat a pan with a little oil and either fry small pieces of dough or use a piping bag to squirt small flatbreads into the pan and fry them until they are brown.

Decorate

  1. Now turn the quark balls, if they were baked in oil, in sugar while they are still warm. For all others it is best to dust with powdered sugar 🙂
