Quark Cake with Plums

Ingredients
 

For the dough

  • 175 g Sanella
  • 80 g Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • Zest of half a lemon
  • 250 g Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 75 ml Milk

For the curd mass

  • 500 g Low fat quark
  • 3 Eggs
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Semolina
  • 1 Custard powder
  • Aside from that
  • 500 g Plums

Instructions
 

  • For the dough, whip up the room temperature Sanella with half of the sugar, gradually stir in the eggs and the remaining sugar. Mix the flour with baking powder and lemon zest and stir in with the milk. Spread the mixture in a greased springform pan.
  • Now whip the quark with the remaining ingredients for the quark mixture until creamy. If necessary, add a little more milk. Spread about half of the quark mixture on the dough. Spread half of the halved and pitted plums on top. Spread the rest of the quark mixture on and spread the other plums on top with the cut surface facing up.
  • Bake the cake in the preheated oven at 170 degrees for about an hour. Let cool down well. Enjoy with a cup of coffee.
