Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 150 g sugar
- 2 tbsp rum
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 2 eggs
- 250 g quark (20% fat content)
- 225 g butter or margarine
- 1 tsp gingerbread spice
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 pack of lemon(s) – flavoring
- 1 pinch of salt
- 100 g chocolate (chocolate chips or chopped chocolate)
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Combine all ingredients except the powdered sugar in a food processor or with a hand mixer until a dough forms. Pour the dough into the Stollen pan and bake at 150°C (300°F) for about 50-60 minutes. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar. Normally, a Stollen should be wrapped in aluminum foil for about two weeks. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to do that with this one yet. It was always eaten within a week.
