Make a dough from the softened butter, quark, flour, and salt and refrigerate it for about 1 hour. On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about 0.5 cm thick. Use a wheel to cut into squares, diamonds, or logs. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and brush with egg. Sprinkle with grated cheese, sesame seeds, or Vegeta seeds to taste. Bake in a preheated oven at about 180°C for 10-15 minutes. The crackers with cheese usually take 2-3 minutes longer.
