Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 75 g sugar
  • 1 m.-sized egg(s)
  • 200 g quark
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 6 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1 ½ packets of vanilla sugar
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 tsp lemon peel
  • Vanilla powder or vanilla flavor
  • 20 g sugar
  • 20 g butter, melted

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Combine the quark with the milk, oil, egg, sugar, and lemon zest. Sift the flour and mix with the baking powder. Knead the dough into a smooth dough, ideally using a dough hook. Let it rest for 30 minutes. Shape the dough into small croissants and place them on a baking sheet. Brush the croissants with half of the melted butter. Bake at 200°C for about 10 minutes; do not allow the croissants to brown. After baking, immediately brush with the remaining butter and roll in the sugar and vanilla extract.
