Spread the love

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 1 kg low-fat curd cheese
  • 1 jar applesauce
  • 5 slices of rusk
  • 100 g almond(s), chopped
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 1 shot of milk
  • possibly lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

delicious layered dessert, easy to prepare

Place the rusks in a small plastic bag and use a rolling pin to crush them into fine crumbs. Place the quark in a bowl and mix well with the sugar, vanilla sugar, and milk (you can also add a few drops of lemon juice if you like). Now it’s time to layer them (a sealable Tupperware container is ideal for transporting them). The first layer is one-third of the rusk crumbs. Then comes one-third of the applesauce, followed by one-third of the chopped almonds, and finally one-third of the quark. Repeat this process until all of it is used up. The last layer is the quark again. You can decorate this beautifully as desired. Tip: It’s best to let the dessert rest for about an hour so that the rusks can absorb all the liquid.
