Quark Dumplings
The perfect quark dumplings recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 250 g Quark
- 250 g Margarine
- 250 g Sifted flour
- 150 g Jam
- 50 g Chocolate fat icing
- Stir the margarine until soft with a mixer.
- Add quark and flour and knead everything into a dough. If sticks just dust with flour!
- 3 min. Chill for 2-3 hours in the refrigerator = better overnight!
- Now roll out the dough – dough thickness approx. 0.5 mm and cut out either with a LARGE round or square shape.
- Now a little jam – depending on your taste = but not too much, otherwise it can squeeze out again at the edge! … on the mold. Depending on the size of the cut-out shape, place a second one on top or close the shape in half and press firmly on the edge! I use a dough trap to cut out my pockets and then press the two halves together with it. Works great !!!!
- Brush the edge with milk.
- Now place the dumplings on a tray and bake for about 15-20 minutes at medium heat (about 180 ° C). Are then slightly golden yellow !! Note – PLEASE put a bowl of cold water on the baking sheet when baking !!!
- Now spread the chocolate icing (or icing if you prefer!) On the warm dumplings. Let it cool down a bit and enjoy ….. I prefer them warm !!!!
