Quark Pockets with Apple Filling …

The perfect quark pockets with apple filling … recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 gr Flour
  • 75 gr Food starch
  • 80 gr Sugar
  • 80 gr Salt
  • 200 gr Butter
  • 250 gr Quark
  • 1 Apple
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 3 tbsp Powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp Sugar to sprinkle on
  1. Process flour, cornstarch, sugar, salt, butter & 200 g quark in a single process to form a dough. Then put this in the cold for 30 minutes.
  2. In the meantime, grate the apple and mix with 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar and the remaining 50 g of quark in a small bowl.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C (top / bottom heat).
  4. Flour the work surface and roll out the dough to about 30cm x 30cm. Cut out 10cm x 10cm pieces of dough. Pour the apple mixture about the size of a teaspoon in the middle. Brush the edges with egg yolk and fold into a triangle. Place the dough pieces on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  5. Brush some of the dough pieces with egg yolk and sprinkle with sugar. Bake part of it without the egg yolk (will be glazed later). Baking time: approx. 30 min. Mix 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar with a little water to a glaze.
  6. After baking, the pieces without sugar are brushed with the glaze. Let it cool down a bit and then have fun with a coffee chat 😉
