Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 rolls of topping dough from the refrigerated section
  • 250 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ½ vanilla pudding powder
  • 1 m.-sized egg(s)
  • 1 medium egg yolk for brushing
  • some milk for brushing
  • some powdered sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Preheat oven to 180°C fan/convection oven or 200°C top/bottom heat. Spread the first roll of puff pastry on a clean work surface. Mix together the quark, sugar, custard powder, and egg. Spread the mixture evenly over the puff pastry and place the second roll on top. Now halve the pastry lengthwise and cut into about 20 even strips. Twist them into a rope shape and brush with the egg yolk and milk mixture. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Place in the oven on the middle rack and bake for about 20 minutes, depending on the oven, until golden brown. Sprinkle with icing sugar while still lukewarm and serve. Without icing sugar, they will keep in the refrigerator for up to 6 days. Then simply heat them up a little in the microwave and make sure to sprinkle the icing sugar on top AFTER heating.
