Quark Strudel À La Ivanka
The perfect quark strudel à la ivanka recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
For the dough:
- 250 g Quark 40%
- 250 g Margarine
- 400 g Flour
For the filling:
- 8 6 – 8 Äpfel ( Je nach Größe )
- 1 Juice of one lemon
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Cinammon
- 125 g Sultanas or raisins
For the strudel:
- 1 Yellow
- Flour for rolling
- Powdered sugar
- Vanilla sauce
The dough:
- Put all ingredients (quark, margarine and flour) in a bowl and mix / knead the dough by hand until it comes off the bowl. Chill the dough for 15-20 minutes.
The filling:
- Peel the apples, remove the core and grate. Drizzle / mix the grated apples with lemon juice so that they don’t turn dark / brown. Add sultanas (125 g), sugar (2 tablespoons) and cinnamon (1 teaspoon) and mix.
The vortex:
- Cut the dough into 3 parts on a floured work surface. Roll out one part of each with the pasta roll on the floured surface (approx. 40 * 20 cm) and cover with a third of the filling. Fold (see pictures) and place with the seam down on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Prepare the other two in the same way. Brush the strudel with the yellow and bake in the preheated oven at 220 ° C until golden / brown. Let cool down a little and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut the strudel with a saw knife into approx. 2 cm thick slices and serve 2 slices each with vanilla sauce and / or vanilla ice cream.
