Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 75 g margarine or butter
  • 75 g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 g flour
  • 125 ml condensed milk
  • 1 pinch of lemon(s) – zest, grated
  • Salt
  • 150 g quark (low-fat quark), drained, stirred until smooth

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Beat the margarine or sugar, sugar, and egg yolks until fluffy. Sift the flour and fold in along with the condensed milk, grated lemon zest, and the smooth quark. Season the egg whites with salt and beat until stiff. Finally, fold in the lightly salted, finely beaten egg whites. Then bake in batches in a heated waffle iron and serve immediately. Serve with hot fruit. A scoop of ice cream, such as vanilla or lemon ice cream, is always delicious.
