Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 m.-sized apple
- 4 tbsp maple syrup
- 5 tbsp cream
- 1 pinch of salt
- 6 nuts of your choice, e.g., walnuts
- 7 cranberries
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 dashes lemon juice
- some lemon zest, if desired
Instructions
Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 6 minutes; Total time approx. 11 minutes
Cut the apple, peel on, into thin slices. Heat the maple syrup in a pan. Fry the apple slices on both sides. Add a squeeze of lemon juice and grated peel, if desired. Add the nuts, such as walnuts, and then a few dried cranberries. Lightly season with salt. Add 1 teaspoon of butter. After 3-5 minutes, depending on the thickness of the apple slices, the apples are done – slightly translucent, but still firm to the touch. Arrange the apples, nuts, and berries on a plate. Pour the cream into the hot maple syrup and simmer until a creamy caramel sauce forms. This only takes a few minutes. Add the sauce to the apples and enjoy immediately.
