Quick chicken gyros from the pan

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 600 g chicken breast
  • 1 onion(s), white
  • 5 stalks of parsley
  • 5 sprigs of oregano
  • ½ lemon(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Pat the chicken breast dry and cut into strips. Peel the onion and slice into half rings. Wash the parsley and oregano, spin dry, and roughly chop the leaves. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Squeeze half a lemon and reserve the juice. Heat the oil in a pan and sear the chicken until very hot. Season with lemon juice, oregano, garlic, pepper, and salt, add half of the onion, and continue to sear briefly until the chicken is cooked. Arrange the gyros on plates with the remaining onion and sprinkle with parsley. Serve with fries, pepperoni, and tzatziki.
