Quick date confectionery

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 package of dates, dried
  • Cinnamon, to taste
  • Sesame seeds, roasted, or almonds, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Pit the dates and chop them. Chop them either with a knife or with a hand blender. Add cinnamon to taste and mix well with a fork. With moistened fingers, form the date paste into balls and roll them in the almonds and/or sesame seeds. This recipe comes from my memory of a recipe from a children’s or young adult book about ancient Egypt that we recreated together in school.
