Quick mustard sauce GDR style

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 50 g butter
  • 50 g flour
  • 2 tbsp mustard, Bautzner is excellent
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 500 ml broth
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Heat the butter and sauté it with the flour. Then stir in the mustard and vinegar. Deglaze with the broth. Finally, add the sugar and salt and bring to a boil. Tastes like it did in a school kitchen in the GDR days. Delicious.
