Quick paprika sausage pot from the microwave

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 bell pepper(s), yellow
  • 1 bell pepper(s), green
  • 1 red bell pepper(s)
  • 100 g onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 200 g tomatoes, chopped
  • 5 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 3 tbsp crème fraîche or sour cream
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 300 g meat sausage in one piece
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 18 minutes; Total time approx. 43 minutes

Deseed the bell peppers and cut into bite-sized pieces. Peel and finely dice the onions, and peel and mince the garlic. Combine these three ingredients with the oil in a microwaveable container (approx. 2 liters capacity), cover, and microwave at 600 watts for 3 minutes. Then add the remaining ingredients (cut the sausage into pieces first), stir, and cook again at 600 watts for about 15 minutes. Then let stand in the microwave, uncovered, for another 5 minutes before serving. Serve with rice or noodles.
