Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 400 g potato(s), floury
- 80 g peas, frozen
- 125 ml vegetable stock
- 1 tbsp butter
- lemon juice
- salt and pepper

A popular side dish
Peel the potatoes, cut into small cubes, and simmer in vegetable stock for 8-10 minutes. Add the peas, bring to a boil, and simmer for 3 minutes. Strain everything and collect the liquid in a cup. Return the potatoes and peas to the pot, stir in the butter, and roughly mash everything with a masher (DO NOT puree!). If the mixture is too thick, stir in a little more of the cooking liquid. Season with lemon juice and pepper; salt is usually unnecessary when cooking with vegetable stock.
