Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 200 g nuts (pecans)
- 220 g butter, soft
- 100 g powdered sugar
- 1 vanilla pod(s), the pulp
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 eggs, of which the egg white
- 300 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 35 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 day 6 hours; Total time approx. 1 day 6 hours 35 minutes
Set aside 50 nice nut halves and chop the rest medium-finely. Mix softened butter with powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt, then thoroughly incorporate the egg whites. Gently mix in the sifted flour mixed with baking powder. Cover the dough with foil and chill for at least 30 minutes. Form the dough into walnut-sized balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Dip the bottom of a glass in powdered sugar, flatten the balls to a thickness of 1/2-3/4 cm, pressing the glass into the sugar every now and then. Place a nut half on each cookie. Bake at 180°C for 15-18 minutes.
