Quick pizza sauce from the microwave

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 400 g tomatoes, fresh or peeled canned tomatoes
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp oregano
  • 2 tsp tomato paste
  • 5 basil leaves or 2 tsp dried basil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp red wine, optional

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 14 minutes

Wash and halve the tomatoes. Remove the stems, quarter the tomatoes, and place them in a bowl. Crush the garlic cloves and add them along with the finely diced onion. Add the olive oil, oregano, and tomato paste. If desired, you can also add the red wine. Microwave for 4 minutes at about 700 watts. Then, stir in the washed and torn basil leaves with the butter, sugar, and salt. Purée thoroughly with an immersion blender or in a food processor and season to taste.
