Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 2 bags of rice or 2 cups of loose rice
- salt water
- 500 g minced meat, mixed
- salt and pepper
- Paprika powder, sweet
- 1 cup of cream
- 1 small bottle(s) of ketchup or
- 1 pack of tomatoes, pureed
- 1 onion(s)
- 75 g butter for butter flakes
- 1 pinch(s) thyme
- herbs of your choice
- Fat for the mold

Cook the rice in salted water according to the package instructions. Peel and dice the onion, then fry with the minced meat until crumbly, seasoning generously with salt, pepper, and paprika. Place half of the rice in a greased casserole dish. Spread all of the minced meat over it. Pour the bottle of ketchup or the passata over it (if using passata, season generously with salt, pepper, and herbs first!). Next, add the rest of the rice. Pour the cup of cream over it and pierce the casserole with a knife to help the cream seep through. Finally, scatter knobs of butter over the casserole. Bake at 160°C – 170°C for 20 – 25 minutes. Serve with a green salad or carrot salad. Tip: A very popular recipe with children – also great for children’s parties.
