Quick sunflower seed bread à la Melly

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 packet of dry yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 50 g sunflower seeds
  • 350 ml milk, warm
  • 500 g flour
  • 2 tbsp oil (I use olive oil)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 55 minutes

Combine milk, sugar, salt, and yeast. Add flour and sunflower seeds (other seeds are fine, too), and finally, the oil. Knead everything into a smooth dough and let it rest, covered, for about 30-60 minutes. Knead again and pour into a loaf pan. While the oven preheats to 200°C, cover the dough and let it rise again. Before placing the loaf pan in the oven, lightly spray or sprinkle the dough with water. Now bake on the middle rack for 40-50 minutes (note: check your oven’s instructions!).
