Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 kg quince(s)
- little water
- 1 kg gelling sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour
Wipe the quinces dry, cut into pieces, and cook with a little water, stirring constantly, until very soft. Strain the mixture through a sieve and weigh it. Mix with an equal amount of gelling sugar and cook, stirring constantly, until very thick. Spread the thick mixture onto oiled paper and let it air dry for a few days. Cut the confectionery into any shape you like (e.g., cut out small stars for Christmas), roll it in coarse granulated sugar, and layer it in tins for storage.
