Quince Jelly with Vanilla

The perfect quince jelly with vanilla recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 kg Quince fresh
  • 2 Squeezed lemons
  • 2 Oranges
  • 1 Vanilla pod scraped out
  • 500 g Preserving sugar 2: 1
  • 1,5 liter Water
  1. Thoroughly rub the quilts with a kitchen towel to remove the white fluff. Brush the fruits thoroughly under running water. Remove the blossoms and stems. Cut the quilts into large cubes and mix with the lemon juice. Cut the vanilla pod lengthways. Scrape out the pulp with a knife and set aside, covered.

Fill quince juice with orange juice to 1 liter with preserving sugar and vanilla pulp in a saucepan Let simmer for about 4 minutes while stirring.
  3. Immediately pour quince jelly with vanilla into jars rinsed with hot water and close quickly. Shelf life: 12 months.
