Quince poppy seed cake

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter
  • 200 g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 250 g poppy seed cake
  • 500 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 250 ml milk
  • 6 quince(s)
  • 100 g jam (blackcurrant)
  • Grease for the tray

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Sheet cake

Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in the eggs and poppy seed mixture. Combine the flour and baking powder and fold in. Stir in the milk. Spread the batter onto a greased baking sheet. Peel, halve, and core the quinces, arrange them on the batter, and fill with the jam. Bake the cake for about 40-45 minutes. It can also be baked with apples or pears.
