Raclette Utensils: This Is What You Need

You need these utensils for a raclette

If you buy a raclette set, it does not necessarily mean that all the accessories are included.

  • Scraper: Small pans are actually always included with raclette, the scrapers are sometimes missing. These should be made of plastic or wood so as not to scratch the non-stick coating of the pans.
  • If your raclette grill does not have a place to put the pans, you should provide wooden coasters.
  • The ingredients should be presented nicely and clearly. Cheese and meat can be served on platters, bread in the bread basket, of course. Sauces and vegetables are best presented in small bowls.
  • So that each of your friends can get the ingredients easily, you should spread them over several plates and bowls and arrange them on the table.
  • Raclette or fondue plates are not absolutely necessary, but practical. These are divided into sections. This prevents the individual ingredients from mixing on the plate.

What else is important

A raclette is powered by electricity. However, the power source is rarely found right next to the table.

  • So that you and your friends can feast comfortably, you should have an extension cable that is long enough.
  • After the meal, the raclette grill must be cleaned. This is usually not a problem with pans and scrapers, which can usually be put in the dishwasher.
  • The grill and plate should not be cleaned with sharp objects. Better soak the plate and wipe it with a soft microfiber cloth. You should not use a lot of washing-up liquid.
