Raspberry-Strawberry-Lemon Liqueur

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g strawberries
  • 200 g raspberries
  • 1 half lemon(s)
  • 700 ml vodka or grain alcohol
  • 300 g sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest period approx. 42 days; Total time approx. 42 days 30 minutes

For fresh fruit: wash and chop the strawberries and lemon. For frozen fruit: thaw in the microwave. Be careful, frozen fruit has more juice. It’s better to use less, otherwise the jar will be too full. Empty everything into a jar along with the sugar—I used a 1.5-liter jar—and fill with the vodka or schnapps. Swirl to ensure everything is well mixed with the sugar. Let stand for at least 6 weeks, swirling every few days to dissolve the sugar. After 6 weeks, collect the fruit in a colander and then run the liquid through a coffee filter. Bottle. Makes a great gift. I made my liqueur just before Lent, so it will be ready for Easter.
