Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 kg sugar
- 1 ½ liters of water
- 1 liter of alcohol, pure 90%
- 6 lemons or limes
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest period approx. 3 days; Total time approx. 3 days 15 minutes
Peel the limes or lemons, but only the green or yellow parts; under no circumstances peel the white! Add the peels to the alcohol and let it steep for three days. Then bring the water and sugar to a boil and let it cool again. Pour the alcohol through a sieve into the sugar water. Stir and bottle. Let it steep in the refrigerator for at least a day, then you can enjoy the liqueur.
