Red currant jelly – layered dessert

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 500 g sour cream, 10% fat
  • 500 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 9 tbsp sugar
  • 125 g biscuits (amarettini)
  • 600 g red fruit compote

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 6 hours; Total time approx. 6 hours 10 minutes

quick to make, very refreshing, tasty and not so heavy

Mix the quark with the sour cream and sugar until smooth. In a glass bowl, place a layer of amaretti biscuits (small ones whole, larger ones slightly crushed), then a layer of the cream, then more amaretti biscuits and cream. As a final layer, pour the red fruit compote over the biscuits. Let it sit in the refrigerator for a few hours. This dessert has a wonderful amaretto flavor—all without the alcohol.
