Ingredients for 3 servings:
- 5 bratwursts (red grilled sausages), approx. 100 g each
- 2 large onions, red
- 250 g water
- 50 g rapeseed oil
- 100 g herbal vinegar
- 10 g salt
- 5 g pepper
- 4 tbsp, heaped mustard, medium hot
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Total time approx. 4 hours 20 minutes
For the dressing, mix the water, oil, herb vinegar, salt, pepper, and mustard in a suitable bowl. Adjust the quantities according to taste. Finely dice the onions and add them to the dressing. Peel and halve the sausages. Then cut them every 3 mm. Layer the sausages in the dressing, ensuring that all are covered. Let the sausages marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours. A rustic bread pairs best with this.
