Red pointed cabbage salad

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • ¼ head of pointed cabbage, red
  • 1 orange(s)
  • 1 apple
  • some walnuts
  • small piece(s) of cheese, grated to taste
  • 1 cup crème fraîche
  • 1 dash of cream
  • some salt
  • Sugar
  • Raspberry vinegar
  • some garden herbs, fresh or freeze-dried
  • possibly carbonated mineral water

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Place the washed and finely grated cabbage in a bowl and knead it with your fingers for a few minutes to soften it. It will color slightly, so you can also use a masher. Peel and slice the orange, peel and core the apple, and roughly chop the nuts. Add everything to the cabbage. For the sauce, combine the crème fraîche with the cream, spices, vinegar, and herbs, season to taste, and stir until smooth. If the sauce is too thick, you can ideally smooth it out by adding a little sparkling water. Drizzle a few spoonfuls of the sauce and grated cheese over the salad. I enjoy this salad for breakfast, as a light evening meal, or as a snack at the office.
