Refreshing mandarin pudding

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 500 ml milk
  • 300 g sour cream
  • 2 sachets of custard powder (bourbon vanilla)
  • 2 cans of mandarin oranges, drained
  • 2 tbsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

I created this pudding recipe from a cake topping. The mixture was always so smooth when I licked the pan clean that I couldn’t resist… Make a pudding from the milk, sugar, and pudding mix according to the package instructions. Stir the sour cream into the still-warm (!) pudding and fold in the mandarin oranges. It tastes best when served lukewarm—it won’t be as thick as “regular” pudding.
