Reindeer Cookies

The perfect reindeer cookies recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For the cookie dough:

  • 300 g Flour
  • 200 g Butter
  • 80 g Sugar fine
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 M Egg
  • 1 tbsp Grated orange peel
  • 0,5 tsp Cinnamon

For the decoration:

  • 250 g Powdered sugar
  • Lemon juice or water
  • Food color
  • Silver beads
  • Snowballs

Miscellaneous:

  • 1 0cm Reindeer cutter
  • 2 Baking trays
  • Parchment paper
  1. Knead the flour, butter, sugar, salt, 1 egg, grated orange peel and cinnamon to form a smooth dough. Wrap in foil and put in the fridge for about 3 hours.
  2. Baking oven with fan: Preheat to 160 ° C. Knead the dough again before rolling it out. Dust a work surface with flour and roll out the dough approx. Cmm and cut out reindeer (approx. 10cm tall). Place on a baking tray covered with baking paper. Slide the tray in the oven onto the 2nd rail from the bottom and bake for 12 minutes until golden brown.
  3. In the meantime you can prepare the next tray. Bake several trays one after the other until the dough is used up.
  4. Let the reindeer biscuits cool down.
  5. Icing sugar with lemon juice or water (stir in a spoonful at a time until it becomes a smooth, not too liquid icing. Pour about a third of a white icing into a freezer bag. Color the rest with red food coloring and also put in a freezer bag. Cut off a small corner.
  6. Now use the red cast to trace the contours of the reindeer. Decorate the antlers with white icing and silver pearls. Decorate the body with red or white icing and scatter sugar snowballs here and there. You can let your imagination run wild.
