Remove tile mirror – how to proceed
Note: You will need a hammer and a chisel for this work. You should also cover the area under the mirror with a tarp.
- Now remove a tile next to the mirror by gently hitting it with a hammer and chisel. Then take a look at the mirror.
- If the plaster is removed from the walls with the tiles, you must remove each individual tile before you can remove the mirror.
- If not, you can carefully chisel around the mirror. The mirror can then be removed with a simple lever action.
- Be careful not to hit the tiles too hard. Otherwise, you risk a major defect on or in the wall, which can have serious consequences.
- Contact a professional if you are not confident in this job or have trouble removing it.
- These can often be caused by using the wrong tool or the wrong approach and can cause major damage.
