Tile Mirror: Three Good Alternatives

Alternative to the backsplash: HPL

  • HPL stands for High-Pressure Laminate. These are chipboards with a glued-on layer of high-pressure laminate.
  • The material is the same as many countertops.
  • The HPL paneling is available in all imaginable designs.
  • You can clad your kitchen with it in a wood, stone, or mosaic look.
  • Monochrome or colored HPL panels are also conceivable.
  • The HPL panels are the cheapest alternative to the backsplash.
  • They can be glued or screwed directly to the wall, or mounted to the wall using a wooden scaffold.

Glass instead of tile mirror

  • A glass plate as a kitchen splashback looks classy and simple.
  • You can use milky or clear glass plates.
  • You can attach a single-color film or, for example, photo motifs behind the glass pane.
  • Glass kitchen backsplashes have mounting hardware that allows you to easily screw them to the wall.
  • Please note that no recesses for sockets can be made in the glass paneling afterward.

Stainless steel instead of tile mirror

  • A high-quality, luxurious-looking alternative to the backsplash is stainless steel.
  • The material is heat-resistant and hygienic.
  • However, grease and water stains on stainless steel are immediately visible and the surface is prone to scratches.
  • The stainless steel panels are only a few millimeters thick and can be glued or screwed directly to the wall.
