Rhubarb – vanilla – jam

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg rhubarb
  • 1 kg gelling sugar (1:1)
  • 2 vanilla pods

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the rhubarb and cut into small pieces. Mix it with the gelling sugar and the split vanilla pods and let it stand for a few hours – preferably overnight. Then bring the rhubarb to a boil while stirring and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring continuously. Then pour into prepared jars, seal, and let cool upright. Tip: The amount of vanilla pods can be adjusted to taste or substituted with vanilla flavoring.
