Ingredients for 3 servings:
- 1 kg ribs (sharp or thick ribs)
- oil
- salt and pepper
- Sauce thickener
Instructions
Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes
Brown the ribs on both sides in hot oil, then fill the pan with water and simmer for about 1-2 hours, until the meat practically falls off the bone and the cartilage is buttery soft. I season with salt and pepper 15 minutes before the end of the cooking time. Thicken the sauce with a thickener, if desired. Sauerkraut and potatoes go best with this dish.
