Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 150 g rice
- Water
- 500 g minced meat
- 1 zucchini
- 1 small can of pizza tomatoes
- 400 g feta cheese
- 100 g Emmental cheese, grated
- ½ onion(s)
- 2 garlic cloves
- salt and pepper
- Paprika powder
- 2 tbsp oil
- n. B. spice(s), e.g. basil
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
Cook the rice according to the package instructions. Peel and chop the onions and garlic. Brown the minced meat in a pan with a little oil. Add the onions and garlic. Season the minced meat with salt, pepper, and paprika. Peel and dice the zucchini. Add the cubes to the pan and fry briefly. Cut one of the two feta cheeses (approx. 200g) into relatively large cubes and fold into the mixture. Add the cooked rice along with the pizza tomatoes and mix everything together. Season again with salt, pepper, and paprika. Season to taste with basil, etc., if desired. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and sprinkle with grated cheese. Crumble the second feta cheese into small pieces and spread it evenly over the casserole. Place in the oven at 180°C (fan oven) for 20 minutes, until the feta is golden brown.
