Rice casserole (according to mom's recipe)

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g rice pudding
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 200 g butter, soft
  • 6 large eggs
  • 200 g sugar
  • Bitter almond flavor, a few drops

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook rice pudding according to the recipe with 1 liter of milk and a pinch of salt, then let it cool. Cream together the butter, egg yolks, and sugar until fluffy and add a few drops of bitter almond oil. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Mix the rice pudding with the egg yolk mixture, then fold in the beaten egg whites. Spread the mixture into a baking dish and bake at 175°C for about 1 hour.
