Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 70 g leek, small weighed
  • 500 g brown rice, cooked
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 50 g cheese, grated Gouda
  • 4 tbsp mixed herbs, frozen 8-herb
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp salt (seasoning salt)
  • 6 grains of pepper, ground
  • Fat, for frying – OR change:
  • 250 g quark 0.5%
  • 3 tbsp brown rice, ground
  • ½ tsp salt (seasoning salt)

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Mix together the leeks and peppercorns. Form 4 palm-sized patties from half of the batter, fry in hot oil, and fry. Alteration: Mix the quark, ground rice, and seasoned salt into the other half. Form the batter into 4 palm-sized patties, and fry in hot oil. My own recipe: To use up leftover egg whites, try my meringue recipe!
