Rice with curry

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 cups Basmati
  • 3 cups water
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vegetable broth, granulated
  • 1 tsp pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 day 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 day 1 hour 5 minutes

Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the rice, and fry for about a minute. Then add the curry, salt, pepper, and vegetable stock. Pour in the water, stir well, and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let the rice swell. Do not touch it again. After 20 minutes, the rice will be cooked and fluffy. Tip: If you like your rice very dry, you can let it steam for about another 5 minutes, covered with a paper towel and covered with a lid (remove the lid, place the paper towel on top, and then put the lid back on).
