Roast Chicken with Lemon, Garlic and Piri Piri

The perfect roast chicken with lemon, garlic and piri piri recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1000 g Chicken
  • 1 piece Organic lemon
  • 2 teaspoon Paprika-Spice-Cream (from my KB)
  • Or salt, garlic and paprika noble sweet
  • 250 Milliliters Chicken broth
  • Optional => spice marinade- spice oil Piri-Piri (e.g. from my KB)
  1. Wash the chicken, clean and cut in the middle.
  2. Put in the baking dish and pour lemon juice and half a lemon over it. Rub the chicken with the paprika spice cream <<>>. If this is not available, you can process 3-4 cloves of garlic with salt and paprika powder in a mortar to a pulp and rub the chicken with it. Now cut the other half of the organic lemon into slices and garnish the chicken with it and carefully add the chicken broth.
  3. Put the casserole dish / roaster in the oven and fry at 160 ° C hot air for approx. 1 to 1.5 hours. I let it roast covered for half an hour before I let it roast uncovered. Pour the brew over and over again. As soon as the chicken is ready to serve, you can brush the chicken with the spice marinade- spice oil Piri-Piri <<>>, depending on whether you want it to be spicy or not.
  4. Best served with homemade and deep-fried French fries and a nice, fresh salad.
  5. P.S. A piri-piri chicken is usually opened at the breast so that the chicken looks quite flat and then grilled on both sides and finally brushed with a spice mixture as mentioned above after grilling, as desired.
  6. Bon appetit!
