- 1 kg chestnuts

Clean the chestnuts with a slightly damp cloth. Then, using a small, pointed, and sharp knife, make a small cut on the bulbous side of the chestnut. Once all the chestnuts are cut, place them in a frying pan over low heat and cover with a damp cloth. Turn the chestnuts over occasionally to prevent them from burning. Once roasted, transfer them to a serving dish and serve while piping hot.
