Roasted dumplings with egg

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 dumplings, cold from the day before
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • 1 bunch of chives

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Bavarian cuisine

Cut the dumplings into finger-thick slices. Heat the oil and fry the dumplings over low heat for about 15 minutes on each side, until they develop a crust. Whisk the eggs with milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg and pour over the dumplings. Cover and fry over low heat for about 2 minutes, until the eggs are set. Break into pieces with a spatula, turn over, and fry for about another minute. Sprinkle with chives and serve.
