Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 50 g sugar
  • 50 ml water
  • 1 tbsp rose water
  • 30 ml gin
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp rose syrup
  • some mint leaves
  • some rose petals
  • 150 ml sparkling wine
  • n. B. ice cubes

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

To make the rose syrup, bring the sugar and water to a boil and stir until the sugar dissolves. Remove from the heat, stir in 1-2 tablespoons of rose water, pour into a small bottle, and let cool. The syrup will keep in the refrigerator for at least a week. To make the cocktail, press the mint leaves and rose petals together or rub them between your hands to release their aroma. Place in a glass and gently press with a muddler to release their aroma. Add 30-40 ml of gin, about 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and 2-3 tablespoons of syrup to the glass and top up with sparkling wine. Serve with a straw. The process takes about 5 minutes without preparing the syrup. Use all ingredients well chilled and adjust to your taste. If you don’t want the leaves in your drink, you can muddle them in a shaker, shake with the syrup, lemon juice, and gin over ice until cold, and strain into the glass.
