Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g tomatoes, fresh, peeled and pitted
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 rump steaks (250g each)
  • 1 tsp oregano, shredded
  • some salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Sear the steaks in a pan with 3 tablespoons of oil for 3-4 minutes on each side. Then remove from the pan and keep warm. Add the remaining oil to the pan, add the garlic, and fry lightly, taking care not to brown it. Now add the tomatoes, season with oregano, salt, and pepper, and cook over high heat for about 5-6 minutes until slightly reduced in thickness. Finally, add the steaks to the sauce and let it simmer for a while. Serve with a delicious salad and bread.
