Rustic mashed potatoes with onions, bacon and mushrooms

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 80 g bacon
  • 80 g butter
  • 250 ml milk, approx. as needed
  • 3 large mushrooms, brown
  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 handful of parsley, chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • e.g. nutmeg, freshly grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Boil them in small pieces in salted water for about 30 minutes until soft. Meanwhile, dice the onion and bacon and fry them in butter in a pan. Add the cleaned and sliced ​​or diced mushrooms and sauté until al dente. Drain the potatoes and let them steam, then roughly mash them. Add the contents of the pan to the mashed potatoes and season well. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.
