Saarland Cuisine: Potato Waffles (raspberry Waffles)
The perfect saarland cuisine: potato waffles (raspberry waffles) recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 2,5 kg Potatoes
- 2 Rods Halved leek lengthways and cut into fine strips
- 15 thin slices Small diced dried meat
- 5 Eggs
- 6 tbsp Sifted flour
- 15 g Yeast fresh
- 1,5 tsp Pepper
- 1 tsp Salt
- Peel the potatoes, grate them finely (I sent them through the grater of my Kitchenaid) and press them through a cloth.
- Add the leeks, eggs, dried meat and flour to the potatoes, add salt and pepper and mix everything together well
- Mix the yeast with a little salt and mix it into the batter, then the waffles will be nice and loose
- Heat the waffle iron and bake the waffles in it until they are golden brown and crispy.
