Saarland Farmer’s Pan

The perfect saarland farmer’s pan recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 6 Waxy potatoes
  • 300 g Pasta
  • 300 g Lyon sausage
  • 2 Onions
  • 2 Rapeseed oil
  • 3 Eggs
  • 5 tbsp Milk
  • 5 tbsp Salt and pepper
  • 5 tbsp Chopped parsley
  • 5 tbsp Grated cheese
  1. Peel, wash and dice the potatoes. Peel the onions and cut into small cubes. Cut the Lyoner into cubes.
  2. Cook the noodles in plenty of boiling salted water until they are firm to the bite. Cook the potato cubes in a little salted water.
  3. Heat some rapeseed oil in a large pan and fry the potato cubes in it. Add the diced Lyoner and onion and fry. Mix in the pasta. Whisk the eggs with the milk and pour over them. Season with a little salt and pepper and sprinkle with some freshly chopped parsley and freshly grated cheese.
