Salisbury steak with onion sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced beef
  • 1 egg(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • 5 onions
  • 1 tsp mustard, hot
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 150 ml meat broth
  • 100 ml cream
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Meatball made from ground beef – low carb

Finely dice one onion. Place it in a bowl, add a teaspoon of oil, and microwave for 1 minute at 600W. Let it cool. Mix the minced meat with the diced onion, egg, salt, pepper, paprika, mustard, and ketchup. Form the mixture into burgers and cook either on the grill or in a griddle pan. Salisbury steak is always grilled. Slice the remaining onions and fry in a little oil until browned. Deglaze with the meat broth and cream. Reduce slightly. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Serve with boiled potatoes.
